Just like Nick Cannon, 50 Cent has had his share of high-profile celebrity relationships. During an interview on The Rickey Smiley Morning Show this week, he revealed why none of them worked.
As far as his past romance with Vivica A. Fox, the rapper said “that was an accident” and it “happened so fast.”
“I was so green I was like the front lawn,” he said of their year together in 2003.
He went on to say that busy schedules eventually led to their breakup. “It’s the touring. Our lives would be moving us in different directions at the same time. So it’s enough space for us to actually still be into each other. But if you’re away from each other and it’s not right, then she’ll start getting off into things while you’re getting into things at the same time,’ he explained. “I like to float away. It’s nice to float.”
When it came to his relationship with Ciara, Fifty said he appreciated the time they spent together. He added that he “spoke to her grandmother last night” and they are “still friends,” even though he hasn’t congratulated her on the baby.
“You usually find out about my relationships after they’re finished,” he said. A prime example was Chelsea Handler. The entertainer, who is gearing up to launch his new album Animal Ambition, said he’s still “cool” with the E! host and “might actually do her show before it’s over.”
50 also shared why he would never date a woman like Rihanna. Check out what he had to say about her below.
“Rihanna got a thing with her where she can–she leave the guy looking like they was the girls. They like [sighs]. They be hurt. Only person other than her is Erykah Badu. They come back different. I don’t even want that kind of p***y. Keep that. What kinda booty is that?!”
